The mechanical Etha 3 is just an outstanding gun. A little more expensive as compared to an Emek, but the Etha upgrades make it totally worth it (especially the included Pops ASA on the Etha).

Easy shooting, reliable without much maintenance, just always shoots when you ask it to. Add a Core ignition valve (or other full auto valve) and this mechanical gun rivals some electronic guns in full auto, for fun in the back yard or where allowed on your local paintball field.

I bought this before the Pro model came out, so it was pretty much top of the heap in the PE line. Awesome shooting gun and PE reliability is just outstanding. Comfortable and relatively quiet shooter.

I'll have to say that I really couldn't tell this pre-owned launcher from a new one. And with Discount PB's expertise and high level of service, one never needs to worry about purchasing a used gun from them.

These are fairly light in weight so maybe not best option for less than lethal launchers. But if you are just trying to get the 'choose someone else's yard' point across to bothersome coyotes, these may work well for you.

Definitely seem even more accurate to me out of my long barrelled T15 as compared to First Strike paint rounds, although you can mix a few of those into your deterrent magazine. Seems to me that these rubber rounds fly not only truer but farther. And nice that Discount PB had them at a great sale price.

No holes in this mock suppressor so it doesn't reduce noise at all. But for less than lethal applications, it does effectively increase barrel length a few inches. And that provides just a little more power that one might be looking for when using kinetic rounds.

Just watch out of you are using for paintball as you might need to turn your launcher's power down after installing, to remain field velocity compliant.

These magazines are rugged and function flawlessly. And all at a rather reasonable price as compared to large mags for other brands of mag fed guns.

Byrna has been a leader in less than lethal launchers. Pretty much the first I know of where you pull the trigger to pierce the CO2 cartridge in an easy to carry pistol (I couldn't consider carrying a TIPX). Pull-to-pierce is faster and more natural as compared to slap-to-pierce or twist-to-pierce. Important in an LTL launcher.

Unfortunately Byrna's aren't cheap - except now they are much more reasonable during the recent sales Discount PB has been running. And more reasonable again when you use points accrued in Discount PB's loyalty/rewards program.

So if you want a Byrna you will likely find that Discount PB has the best sale prices, and the lowest available overall price when using rewards points and combined with free shipping.

The Tippmann TMC is a robust marker which provides a high value proposition. It runs and runs and needs very little maintenance.

I wanted to try out this .50 cal version for less-than-lethal use with pepper rounds (have some coyote issues going on and want to discourage them from coming into my yard). And I couldn't pass up the (close-out?) discounted price being offered by Discount PB.

Of course this marker is not designed for LTL use - it is designed for lower, legal power on a paintball field. So while I ended up going with a tool more appropriate for my needs, I can say that this marker shot a whole lot of rounds during testing and tuning, and never skipped a beat.

I love the EMF100 for its quality design and build. And the fact that it just functions perfectly even though it doesn't require much or frequent maintenance.

Getting a launcher with the extras like the 6 mags and the PWR stock for a great Discount PB price is even better. And since Discount PB knows their stuff, you never need to worry about buying a used launcher from them (especially a used PE launcher).

I am on the Discount PB site frequently as they have always treated me will regarding prices and service. New and used equipment. And they will sometimes have some incredible values on their used gear.

Slap-to-puncture instead of twist-to-puncture so much faster and more natural. And the use of a 12g CO2 is much better for shot count than the FSC's 8g. Plus with the XP - Faster reloads and real Pic rail for a pistol light.

Even nicer that Discount PB sweetened the deal with an extra mag for early buyers.

I would plan on using this for less-than-lethal applications, and as such I have the power turned up past what could be used on a PB field. And while the XP can use an extended 10 round magazine (which is awesome), at highest power you won't get that many shots out of a 12g CO2 (less awesome). But the 10 round mags would be great for lower power applications (like on a PB field), or when running the gun off HPA.

These EMF100's are just awesome as less-than-lethal launchers for kinetic compliance or chemical rounds.

Like any PE launcher (especially their mechanical guns), these just keep shooting and shoot so nicely. Never need to worry about these mechanically, just perform some simple lubrication on occasion and you are good to go.

As an LTL launcher, this unit will sit around by the back door until needed (dealing with some problem coyotes who have already taken some pets). Just need a little 13 ci bottle so the launcher remains light and handy. And ready to go - mine has a shake-awake circle-dot sight, and then you just need to press the POPS ASA and you are ready. And no issues with having to keep the launcher pressurized or potential air leaks. Just ready to go and always works.

Was a bit bummed that this used launcher did not come with all the parts to convert it back from hopper to mag fed, but the parts to do so were cheap and readily available.

P.S.: While NOT for paintball, LTL applications do benefit from a little additional power. Especially if you plan on using kinetic (pain compliance) rounds. About 2mm of shims under the regulator spring can give you 25+ joules of energy in the EMF100 with the right barrel and bore matched projectiles. I don't have to worry about making these revisions as my LTL guns will NEVER get near a paintball field.

I haven't gotten a chance to start playing PB due to some leg issues, so all of my shooting has been with friends, at targets in the back yard.

And these D*Fenders in full auto are a blast. Whether shooting paint, or a hopper-full combination of kinetic and chemical rounds (been having some coyote issues).

Discount PB had this gun at an excellent sale price during their Black Friday sales event. Glad I picked it up.

Have had one issue with an older model (non-elite) D*Fender. I think that it was my own fault for over-stuffing the paint into the hopper. The gun couldn't spin up the loading wheel in the hopper, which resulted in a current overload issue and some of the magic smoke within the marker appeared. Needed to replace the main board and all was totally fixed. Learned not to stuff the hopper - it was totally my fault. Never another issue with that used gun, nor with this brand new purchased Elite.

Unfortunately for Byrna this launcher is going to cut into their LE business. Essentially the same power and with the same initial first shot action to pierce the CO2 and fire the first shot - No push to pierce buttons or turn to pierce actions. So more natural to a shooter.

One thing I noticed is that the trigger on the Secure 68P does tend to pinch my finger during the long and heavy trigger pull. But I've got big fingers so probably won't impact most folks.

I hope that UX or the aftermarket make tool-less CO2 caps for these, like folks make for the Byrna's. I prefer those, especially for the Secure 68P where you have to force the cap on under some spring tension of the CO2 cartridge, and I constantly feel like I am going to cross thread the cap.
