CO2 Tanks

CO2 Tanks

(19 products)

CO2, or Carbon Dioxide, is the cheapest air source one can use to power their paintball gun. CO2 tanks come in a variety of sizes and most CO2 tanks can be refilled at any local paintball field or store. CO2 itself is temperature sensitive so using it in cold temperatures may cause a few issues. These tanks are available in 4 oz, 9 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, 20 oz, and even 24 oz. The more ounces the more shots per fill you can expect to get! For commonly asked questions please look below!

Common Questions regarding CO2 Paintball Tanks:

Q: Are they safe?
A: Yes, as long as CO2 tanks are filled by trained paintball professionals or an air smith they are completely safe. CO2 tanks do have a Safety Disk that acts as a safety relief valve. In the event of the tank being overfilled or over pressurized, the CO2 Burst Disk will break and vent all the pressure in the bottle in a safe manner.

Q: What can can I fill them with?
A: You can only put liquid CO2 into a CO2 tank. Never attempt to modify, or fill your tank with any other gas.

Q: Can I use CO2 on my paintball gun?
A: That depends on what gun you have. Most standard mechanical paintball guns will function on CO2 just fine. Almost all high end pneumatic paintball guns can NOT use CO2. You can damage certain guns if you use CO2 in them. Always refer to your manual, or the manufacturer to see what air source you can use.

Q: Where can I refill my CO2 Tank?
A: Most paintball fields or stores can fill your tank. Never attempt to fill your own paintball tank unless you are properly trained to do so.

Q: How many shots will I get from my CO2 Tank?
A: CO2 is affected by temperature, so the exact number of shots will vary with seasons/temperature swings. A good estimate is : 9oz - 400 shots, 12oz - 600 shots, 16oz - 900 shots, 20oz - 1100.
