Byrna LE Short Barrel Launcher Basic
The Byrna Short Barrel LE Launcher is a compact less-lethal defense platform, carrying over the upgraded trigger and valve assembly from the full-size Gen 2 LE into a shorter, more maneuverable frame. It fires .68 caliber projectiles at speeds up to 294 fps, giving it real stopping power in a size built for easy carry and handling. Because this Basic Kit ships without chemical projectiles, it's legal to purchase in all 50 states, making it a straightforward entry point into the LE platform — add CO2 and .68 caliber projectiles separately once you're ready to load it up.

Byrna Short Barrel LE Launcher: Same Internals, Shorter Frame
The Short Barrel isn't a stripped-down version of the second generation LE — it's the same upgraded trigger and valve assembly in a more compact package. If you want the Gen 2 LE's performance with a shorter overall length for easier handling or storage, this is that variant.

- Red Dot & Laser Ready: An updated top slide and Picatinny rail let you mount a Byrna Red Dot Pro Sight for faster target acquisition. The Byrna laser sight also fits this rail and is available in either red or green. All sold separately.

I went to Discount Paintball to look into buying a Byrna. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, helpful and patient. He answered all my questions, explained the difference between the various models and shared tips from his personal experience. After purchasing my Byrna he offered the option of shooting some practice rounds in order to get the feel. He showed me how to load the pellets and the CO2 cartridge as well degas the launcher. I was very impressed with the service and also pleasantly surprised to find out I had earned points that could be used toward future purchases. I highly recommend Discount Paintball of Elk Grove Village!!
I love it
Byrna has been a leader in less than lethal launchers. Pretty much the first I know of where you pull the trigger to pierce the CO2 cartridge in an easy to carry pistol (I couldn't consider carrying a TIPX). Pull-to-pierce is faster and more natural as compared to slap-to-pierce or twist-to-pierce. Important in an LTL launcher.
Unfortunately Byrna's aren't cheap - except now they are much more reasonable during the recent sales Discount PB has been running. And more reasonable again when you use points accrued in Discount PB's loyalty/rewards program.
So if you want a Byrna you will likely find that Discount PB has the best sale prices, and the lowest available overall price when using rewards points and combined with free shipping.
