HK Army 48ci / 3000psi Aluminum Air Tank

The HK Army 48ci aluminum compressed air tank is a dependable, budget-friendly alternative to carbon fiber HPA systems. It ships as a complete, ready-to-use setup with the regulator pre-installed and set to a standard 800psi output, so you can fill it and go — no separate regulator purchase or setup required. A great fit for players who want reliable backup air, a rental-fleet workhorse, or an affordable entry point into HPA.

HK Army 48ci / 3000psi Aluminum Tank FAQs

Aluminum tanks are heavier than carbon fiber options like the AeroLite or HSTL, but they're significantly more affordable and just as reliable. This tank ships as a complete system with the regulator already installed, making it a great choice for beginners, backup air, or field rental fleets.

Shot count depends on your marker's efficiency and how it's tuned, so it varies from setup to setup. A 48ci tank holds noticeably less air than a 68ci or 80ci bottle, which makes it a solid choice for backup air or lower-volume play, but players shooting high volumes in a single day may prefer a larger tank as their primary.

3000psi is the tank's fill pressure — how much compressed air it holds when full. 800psi is the regulated output pressure, which is the actual pressure delivered to your marker after the built-in regulator steps it down. You never need to adjust this yourself; the tank is preset to deliver a consistent 800psi every time.

You'll need access to a high-pressure air fill station rated to at least 3000psi, available at most paintball fields, pro shops, and dive shops. The onboard fill gauge lets you check your remaining air at a glance so you always know when it's time for a refill.

Eventually yes. This tank operates on a five-year hydro cycle, meaning it must be hydrostatically tested and recertified every five years from its manufacture date to remain legal for filling. Most paintball pro shops and dive shops offer hydro testing services.

Yes — this tank works with the vast majority of HPA-compatible electronic and mechanical paintball markers using a standard fill nipple and thread. It is compatible with most markers that accept CO2 tanks.
