i was thinking about getting a Byrna for my wife to have in the car in case of an emergency. when reviewing the Byrna, i found a video comparing it to the Umarex. i bought the Umarex and tested it and was very happy with it. cant beat the value of getting 3 of these for the price of one of theirs. i may buy more of the Umarex for my granddaughters.
I have 2 of these 1st gen, 2nd gen. I think they should offer it in a variety of joule outputs. Other than that I really like it for non-lethal alternative.
The stock fit on the tube so loosely that I had to put several pieces of electrical tape on the tube to keep it from flopping around. That tightened it up, but now it's hard to adjust.

The original bottle valve leaked from the time of possession. Unfortunately , I did
not know as I hadn't needed it by the time it arrived, so I stored it. I found out some time later when I attempted to fill it . It leaked immediately & would not go
beyond 2500 psi & discharged all air overnight. Rather than trying a repair I replaced the entire unit . It was a simple complete fix. It has been holding 4000 psi for two months.
