The HK Army Alpha Air 98ci is the largest bottle in HK Army's five-size Alpha Air lineup — built for players who'd rather carry the air than think about it. If you play long scenario days, back multiple points without a break, or just hate stopping to refill, the 98ci gives you more cubic inches than any other Alpha Air size, still wrapped in the same lightweight carbon fiber construction and rated to a 4500psi fill.

At 10in long and 2lb 1.1oz (0.93kg), the 98ci is naturally the biggest and heaviest bottle in the line, but it still holds onto the same 4.4in diameter as every other Alpha Air size, so it drops into tank covers built for the smaller bottles — you'll just want one with a bit more length. Like the rest of the lineup, it's available in a wide range of color finishes.

HK Army Alpha Air 98ci Key Features

  • The largest capacity in HK Army's five-size Alpha Air lineup (48ci–98ci)
  • 98ci capacity, rated to a 4500psi fill, for maximum air between refills
  • Same 4.4in diameter as the rest of the Alpha Air line
  • Full carbon fiber wrap keeps even the largest bottle in the line reasonably light
  • Compatible with HK Army Standard, MP5, HP8, and Turbine Pro regulators, plus Ninja, Immortal Air, and Empire
  • Bottle only — pair with a regulator you already own, or build a complete system with our Tank Builder

Universal Regulator Compatibility

This is a bottle-only listing — no regulator is included. The 98ci uses the same standard tank valve thread found across the entire Alpha Air line, so HK Army's Standard, MP5, HP8, and Turbine Pro regulators thread on without any adapters, along with regulators from other major brands including Ninja, Immortal Air, and Empire.

Also Available In

The Alpha Air carbon fiber tank is available in five capacities — 48ci, 68ci, 77ci, 88ci, and 98ci — and the 98ci is the largest and highest-capacity option in the lineup. This listing is for the 98ci bottle only.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. This is a bottle-only listing for the 98ci carbon fiber tank. HK Army's Standard, MP5, HP8, and Turbine Pro regulators will all thread directly onto this bottle, along with regulators from Ninja, Immortal Air, and Empire — or use our Tank Builder to select a bottle and regulator together as one complete system.

Yes. The 98ci uses the same tank valve thread as every other size in the Alpha Air line, so HK Army's Standard, MP5, HP8, and Turbine Pro regulators fit directly, as do regulators from Ninja, Immortal Air, and Empire.

If you're already considering the 88ci, the 98ci is worth a look when you want to go a full scenario day, extended op, or several points in a row without swapping tanks. The tradeoff is a bit more length and weight; if that's not a priority, the 88ci or 77ci will feel more compact on your marker.

The 98ci holds about 11% more air than the 88ci, adding roughly 0.35in of length and about 2.7oz of weight — the smallest jump between any two sizes in the lineup, since it's the last step up to the largest bottle.

The 98ci keeps the same 4.4in diameter as every other Alpha Air bottle, so covers sized for that diameter will still fit around it. It's the longest bottle in the line at 10in, so double-check that your cover has enough length before assuming it'll work.

Like all composite carbon fiber paintball tanks, the 98ci is DOT/TC certified and needs a hydrostatic retest every five years from its manufacture date to stay in service. The retest date is stamped on the bottle.
